The US Fish & Wildlife Service is hiring for an Indigenous Knowledge Liaison to work in Science Application in Alaska. The position is open to both the public and current federal employees, with a preferred duty location of Anchorage, Alaska (negotiable within Alaska upon selection). The Indigenous Knowledge Liaison’s responsibilities include: advocating for the inclusion of Indigenous and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (ITEK); establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with Native American tribes, organizations, corporations, etc.; applying an Indigenous lens to creating or analyzing data and information; working as a liaison to encourage participatory and Indigenous-led research in FWS research projects and activities; and other collaborative work.
