The Northwest Boreal Partnership is excited to announce and provide more information on the upcoming transboundary gathering we are co-hosting with new partners in Whitehorse and Carcross, April 18-20! This 3-day gathering will provide intentional space for dialogue, relationship-building, and knowledge-sharing with others across Alaska, the Yukon, British Columbia and the Northwest Territories.
Together, we will be focused on the intersection of ongoing efforts and opportunities around land and water planning, climate adaptation, conservation, and regenerative economies – with a highlighted focus on Indigenous-led and collaborative efforts. We expect to bring together a diverse group of representatives from Indigenous communities and governments, conservation groups, government agencies, academic institutions, and land planning and management organizations.
April 18-19 will focus on a smaller gathering of participants in Whitehorse co-hosted by the NWBP and Alaska Outdoor Alliance (AOA), and on April 20th will culminate in a large public gathering in Carcross (co-organized by CPAWS Yukon, How We Walk with Land and Water, the NWBP, and AOA).
