We helped organize a congressional briefing focused on the need for the federal government to fund a durable national framework for landscape conservation that featured the Northern Latitudes Partnerships. With a final audience of over 200, the event was hosted virtually by our partners at the Environmental and Energy Study Institute–a nonprofit Congress created to advise them on those two issues. It featured national leaders on landscape conservation efforts, including Dr. Sacha Spector from Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, who highlighted the Northern Latitudes Partnerships as a key model that should be replicated around the country. In advance of the briefing, we worked with EESI to produce a web story on the Northern Latitudes Partnerships connecting them to our local partners and national thought leaders. They talked about the origins of the NLP and the unique value these partnerships provide. The recording is available here.
