We are proud to announce that Aaron and Leanna, on behalf of the Northern Latitudes Partnerships Team, have received the 2020 U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Regional Director’s Excellence Award for Outstanding Partner! The USFWS chose to recognize their work in continuing to address “long-standing challenges shared across all of the Department of Interior as well as other land/resource managers, tribes, and communities… Because of Aaron and Leanna’s leadership, the NLP is uniquely poised to convene diverse partners, build trust, and prioritize actions that benefit communities as well as natural resource managers. As a result of their hard work and determination, the Service has better availability, sharing and use of data for decision making, as well as increased trust between the Service and Alaska Native Tribes and the State of Alaska.”
